MOSHE FRYMERMAN was born in Lodz, Poland, in 1924. At the beginning of World War II, at the age of 15, Moshe was forced by the Nazis to work as a mechanic in a textile factory, where he repaired sawing machines, a profession he learned from his father. In August 1944, the Lodz ghetto was eliminated. Moshe and his family, together with the last people of the ghetto were transported to Auschwitz where he lost his parents and two younger brothers. Thanks to his skills, Moshe was saved.
